Training

I believe that training a horse is about the correcting of mistakes and not the preventing of them.  For this to work, confidence in the horse must be built and maintained and they must never feel scared to explore their boundaries during a given work period.  Horses need to be guided through a variety of experiences and need reward and comfort when they have achieved………

RATES

We have two training rates:

0-6 months training - £150 per week

6 months onwards - £145 per week

Full Livery (no ridden work) - £110 per week, should you require your horse to be ridden for whatever reason, there will be an additional charge of £10 per ride.

The above prices include full livery and the training of your horse.  All veterinary costs are dealt with directly between the client and the veterinary practice (Bourton Vale Equine Clinic, Gloucestershire).  All farrier, dental, worming costs are additional.

Should we need to transport your horse for whatever reason, .40p per mile will be charged to you. 

From 2010, if you request that Shane competes your horse at a show, there will be an additional charge of £35 per day.
